Escrow was established in 1977 by Dick Mietzner, a prominent Real Estate
developer and Broker. We are very proud of the fact that we have such
a well established, locally-owned escrow company. Many of our clients
have been with us since day one. We have been located in the North City,
now Shoreline, area of Seattle for nearly 25 years and have recently opened
a second branch in South Everett.
Dick Mietzner, Owner and President:
Opened Realty Escrow out of a growing demand from his agents and loan
officers at the real estate mortgage companies he owned. Dick was also
establishing a family owned construction company and Realty Escrow helped
Streamline the closing process for all. He now divides his "mostly"
retired time between Edmods and Hawaii.
Jana Torbenson, Manager/V.P:
Started from the ground up! She was hired on as a receptionist in 1992
after graduating from the University of Washington. Promoted to closer
just 10 months later, she obtained her Limited Practice Officer license
in 1993. Jana is known for her great attitude and professionalism. After
building a solid client base for three years, she was handed the management
position. Jana has increased the number of transactions closed per year
each and every year since 1996. She opened the second branch of Realty
Escrow in Sept. 1998 and is gaining a loyal following in South Everett.
It is apparent to everyone she works with that she loves what she does
for a living and passes her enthusiasm for escrow onto her employees.
Shannon "Jean" Jacobsen, LPO:
Has been with the company since 1997 and brings 30 years of banking,
real estate development and closing experience. A resident of the North
Seattle/Edmonds area since childhood, she believes that our customers
deserve the best service imaginable.
Claudia Baker-Sing, LPO:
has been with Realty Escrow since 1998. She has worked in the Real Estate/Banking
industry for over 15 years and is experienced in mortgage/loan processing,
escrow, property management and loan servicing. Claudia is active in
the Escrow Association
of Washington and was named "Escrow Achiever of the Year" in 1999
by the Greater Seattle Regional Assoc. She is currently serving as Second
Vice President of the Escrow Association of WA.
